A native of Eastern Washington, Sam grew up in the Ritzville and Harrington areas. His grandparents settled in Harrington in the early 1920's where they farmed and raised cattle and horses. Growing up with a strong German work ethic and the customary life that comes from being raised in the country, Sam's values were established early in life. After graduating from Ritzville High School, Sam had a desire to see the world. Four years in the US Navy took him half way around the world including a tour on the Saigon River aboard a navy mine sweeper. After that, Eastern Washington looked mighty good. He attended Eastern Washington University and received a BA in Industrial Technology. This led to careers with Caterpillar, Chevron and ExxonMobil in marketing, customer relations and sales. Highly regarded by former employers and clients for above average customer service and commitment to detail has always been his trade mark. He has spent his entire working career in the Inland NW. |
